METAL HALL OF FAME LAUNCHES ALL STAR CHARITY PROJECT FOR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN EFFECTED BY COVID LOCKDOWN

CLIFTON, NJ (October 25, 2021) – Top musicians and producers throughout the industry are joining forces with the Metal Hall of Fame to launch the “Metal Hall of Fame All-Stars” charity cd. The initiative brings music programs for special needs children that were isolated by the lockdown. The programs will help children suffering from various disabilities to develop retention, coordination, and physical and cognitive ability. 100% of the proceeds goes to the cd project, which will feature a combination of original and cover songs. It will be released early 2022 on all Dark Star Records digital platforms.

The celebrated musicians and producers taking part in the project include Bob Daisley, (Ozzy Osbourne, Rainbow), Neil Kernon (Producer/Engineer, Dokken, Queensryche) Tony MacAlpine, (G3 Tour, Steve Vai) Mike Tirelli (Riot, Holy Mother), Rudy Sarzo (Whitesnake, Quiet Riot) Camine Appice (Paul Stanley, King Kobra, Vanilla Fudge), Pat Gesualdo, (studio/touring drummer/Metal Hall of Fame founder) Bjorn Englen (Yngwie Malmsteen/Dio Disciples) and Derek Sherinian (Kiss, Dream Theater) among others. Previously recorded tracks featuring Chandler Mogel (Punky Meadows), and Michael Romeo (Symphony X) from Gesualdo’s solo project will be featured as well.

“The Metal Hall of Fame All-Stars unites great musicians for a great cause,” says Metal Hall of Fame spokesperson Owen Kennedy. “We always make sure to provide assistance for special needs children and adults by including the D.A.D. Program (Drums and Disabilities), the Metal Hall of Fame’s 501 (C)(3) non profit charity parent, in every thing we do.”

The Metal Hall of Fame holds it’s Annual non profit charity Gala in Anaheim CA, every January, and has inducted such superstar bands and Musicians such as Judas Priest, Anthrax, Bill Ward, Paul Di’Anno (Iron Maiden) Steve Vai, Don Airey, Randy Rhoads, Ronnie James Dio, Joe Satriani, Lee Kerslake, Metalblade Records founder Brian Slagel, Rudy Sarzo, Carmine Appice, Bruce Kulick, Eric Carr, Vinnie Appice. Metallica has Inducted Megaforce Records founders Jon and Marsha Zazula, and Paul Stanley has Inducted Kiss Manager Doc McGhee over the past few years,

In 2004, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his Administration, and the New Jersey Education Commissioner helped drum virtuoso/Metal Hall of Fame founder Pat Gesualdo launch the D.A.D. Program, which features his celebrated pioneering techniques of Drum Therapy. Along the way, The WWE, the NY Giants, The NJ Devils, Xerox, Numerous Law Enforcement agencies, Pepsi, Zildjian Cymbals, Hard Rock Cafe, Morgan Stanley Global Sports and Entertainment, The NJEA, Evans Drumheads, The NY Yankees, TD Bank, Promark Drumsticks, BMG Records, Modern Drummer Magazine, the Learning Disabilities Association of America, and Zildjian Cymbals among others, have joined forces with Gesualdo and his D.A.D. Program.

Doctors, psychologists, Special Needs Therapists, and Teachers in over 15 countries use Gesualdo’s pioneering Drum Therapy techniques and D.A.D. Program to help the special needs children and adults to develop physical and cognitive functioning. Additionally, the U.S. Department of State, has brought Gesualdo and the D.A.D. Program to various regions of the world to help disabled children, and the United States Department of Defense calls on him to train and certify U.S. Military health professionals. Alfred Music Publishing publishes Gesualdo’s groundbreaking book “Drum Therapy, Healing With The Drumset” which helps drummers and special needs therapists on a Global basis teach special needs drum students. He is an artist/clinician with Zildjian Cymbals, Promark Drumsticks, and Evans Drumheads, and lectures and performs in drum clinics throughout the world. Gesualdo also appears in various Metal Hall of Fame events and Inductions on a Global basis.
