Metal Church to be inducted at the 2020 Metal Hall of Fame Awards Gala

Legendary Seattle metal veterans Metal Church will be inducted into the 2020 Metal Hall Fame, at it’s Annual non-profit charity, The Hall of Heavy Metal History Gala. The Gala will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the Marriott Delta Garden Grove in Anaheim.

Metal Church is credited as a formative influence on the Thrash Metal sub genre melding the aesthetics of the new wave of British heavy metal and American hard rock with “incredibly tight musicianship” and “piercingly screeched” vocals

 

Metal Church released it’s 12th full-length studio album, “Damned If You Do”, which came out last December 2018 via Rat Pak Records.

 

Joining Metal Church’s induction at this years Gala in person with acceptance speeches will be Geoff Tate (Ex Queensryche), Don Dokken (Dokken), Stephen Pearcy (Ratt), Graham Bonnet (Graham Bonnet Band, Alcatrazz) and Joe Satriani.

 

Additional Inductions will be announced over the next few weeks!!

 

Performances announced so far at this years gala will include Graham Bonnet with his band Alcatrazz as well as the official launching of the band Riot Act a new band featuring original Riot guitarists of Lou Kouvaris and Rick Ventura, (classic Riot Performance) plus a Metal Hall of Fame All-Star Jam.

The 2020 Metal Hall of Fame Gala will be hosted by iconic television and radio personality Eddie Trunk, and co-hosted by Whiskey A GO-GO Ultimate Jam Night / Almost Fama Show Host Jes Fama.

 

Proceeds from the Gala go to The Non-Profit organization D.A.D. (Drums and Disabilities). D.A.D. brings free music programs and therapy services to disabled children and wounded veterans in various hospitals and community centers throughout the United States.

 

Previous Metal Hall of Fame Inductees include Judas Priest, Ronnie James Dio, Randy Rhoads, Bill Ward, Scorpions, Motorhead, and Doro Pesch, among other hard rock and heavy metal icons.

The 2020 Hall of Heavy Metal History Gala, affectionately referred to as “The Most Important Night in Metal” by hard rock and metal fans throughout the world, will feature Inductions and performances by numerous hard rock and heavy metal Legends of all time.

 

The 2019 Hall of Heavy Metal History Gala featured Metallica Inducting Megaforce Records founders Jon and Marsha Zazula. In addition, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne assisted the Hall of Heavy Metal History Gala by providing former Ozzy drummer Lee Kerslake with his much awaited Platinum Record Awards for his participation on both “Blizzard of Oz” and “Diary of A Madman” albums. The 2019 Gala also featured former Ozzy Bassist Bob Daisley being Inducted by John Sykes (Whitesnake), and Ozzy producer Max Norman.
